Humberto Gandarillas

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Guanajuato and has extensive postgraduate training in engineering and irrigation in the United States and Germany. With more than four decades of experience in water resource management, he has worked with GTZ and as an independent consultant, leading the design and construction of over fifty dams and contributing significantly to small-scale irrigation systems and the reuse of wastewater for agricultural purposes. He is currently the project manager of a major multipurpose initiative involving the construction of two dams to support irrigation and provide drinking water to the city of El Alto.
