
Dr. Pablo Gaitán Rossi
He holds a Doctorate in Social Welfare from Universidad Iberoamericana and Boston College, and has been a full-time faculty member at Universidad Iberoamericana since 2007, where they also earned degrees in Psychology and Sociology. They have coordinated the university’s Psychological and Learning Support Clinic and currently research health issues at the Institute for Research on Social Equity (EQUIDE). Since 2018, they have coordinated the International Doctorate in Social Welfare. Their research focuses on violence, poverty, subjective well-being, food insecurity, and early childhood development. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, they examine social determinants of health and evaluate interventions, including Mexico’s nationally funded “Urban Poverty” project and the Prospera Digital mobile health program to improve maternal and child outcomes.
